100th Post!

That's right!  Today's post is my 100th.  Can't believe that just a few months ago I decided to start my style blog.  And I'm so happy to see it slowly growing.  I can't wait to continue this fun journey and to see where it goes.  My style and blog have grown so much since I've started it.  I take more time putting together my outfits and I've even stepped out of my comfort zone on a lot of items to try new things.  My cake decorating has improved and I look forward to sharing more fashion and life with all my followers!

Today started out kind of blah.  With all this rain in our forecast, I swear it was effecting my mood.  I decided today that I hate my closet.  I'm sure y'all have been there, you look at your closet thinking I have nothing to wear.  That's how it was today.  I ended up changing my outfit close to 7 (or was it 8) times.  I finally ended up throwing on my distressed skinnies and one of my favorite leopard tops.  A smokey eye and my favorite accessories and bam, funky weather day outfit complete!

What do you do when you're having an I-Hate-Everything-In-My-Closet day?

Date Night

I am so excited.  It's a rare night when the husband and I actually get to go out on a date, let alone going to see a current movie at the theater.  But now that we are living closer to family we can leave the kids with them and head out.  And since I'm always looking for an excuse to get dressed up, Friday night was no different.

I bought this romper/jumpsuit from The Mint Julep earlier this week and I've been dying to wear it.  It's simple, but with the right accessories I can easily dress it up.  I love the soft material and that its loose, but fits perfectly and still gives me a feminine look.  I added the grey military jacket mainly for warmth, but decided I liked the look of it as well.

We decided to go out for dinner at a Mexican restaurant, so of course I had to try out their Margaritas.  They got two thumbs up for me!  After our nice quiet (hey with two kids dinner is always loud) dinner we went out to see The Other Woman.  Which by the way is hilarious!  I couldn't stop laughing.  Even my husband who isn't into chick flicks loved this movie!  So if y'all get a chance I highly recommend going to see this movie.

Rompers..Oh My!

Lately I have become obsessed and in love with Rompers.  They are not just for little girls anymore.  There are so many amazing styles out there.  From shorts to pants, there is something for everyone now.  I tend to be a little picker when it comes to these since I want to make sure that, 1- it's long enough for me and 2- it's my style.

I love how you can dress them up and down.  Add a cute pair of wedges or heels with some simply and chic jewelry for a more classier look.  Or add some flats and funky jewelry to make it more for a casual look.  And the best part about them, you don't have to think to hard on what to wear!  I hate those days you wake up and trying to think of something to wear but can't decide, rompers take care of that!

With that being said below are some links to my favorite romper styles:

1. The Mint Julep (Chiffon to Lace)
2. The Mint Julep (Harlem Jumpsuit)
3. Hazel and Olive (Romp Around Aztec)
4. Hazel and Olive (Sunday Funday)
5. Southern Fried Chicks (Alaina)
6. RiffRaff (Lillian Love)
7. RiffRaff (Fleur My Eyes)
8. The Mint Julep (Native Lines)
9. The Mint Julep (Sweetheart)

Edgy, Scarves and Jamberry

Don't you just love when you find something new and it just makes you smile?!  Within the last 2 weeks I have discovered a new type of scarf that a High School friend has created and makes and Jamberry Nails.  Yes I know I'm probably way behind on the nail wraps, but now that I've seen/used/bought/own them... they are amazing!  And these scarves are equally amazing!

I love the infinity scarf, but sometimes finding one that you really like/want can be tricky.  Katie with ENomena, LLC has come up with an amazing and creative idea.  She makes these wonderful snap scarves, called SnapDragons.  They are almost 6 feet long and can be worn in several ways.  Leave them long and wrap or tie in any way you can think of, or snap the ends together to create an infinity scarf.  But what's even cooler, add a second scarf by snapping two different ends together to make a two toned neck candy!  I'm lucky that she was willing to partner with me and to let me show off her idea via my blog.

I can't wait to order more from her!  I love the idea of wrapping two styles together to create a whole new look.  If you're a sports fan you can get both of the teams colors and pair them together for game day.  Contact Katie with ENomena, LLC to get your own set of scarves!

Also if you haven't tried out Jamberry Nail Wraps, you really should!  They are so much fun and super easy to put on.  I've already tried out two styles and I can't wait to add more!

2 Sisters Sweet Shoppe

Recently I started talking to a friend from High School and she was telling me about her mom's new sweets shoppe in town.  It brought back memories from when I was growing up.  I used to love to ride my bike into town (we lived 2 miles out) and go to Shirley's Sweets.  It was a kids heaven.  Everywhere you looked there was a huge selection of candy.  Then one day the lady that ran it retired and closed up shop.  Pretty much broke my young heart!

So when Katie told me about her mom's new shop I was immediately excited.  I mean who doesn't enjoy candy?!  I got the store name, Two Sisters Sweet Shoppe, and headed up there the next day.  As soon as I walked up the front window display had my mouth watering!  They had so many delicious types of candies and chocolates on display with some unique decor pieces, and then I opened the door.  I swear if there was a way to bottle up that delicious candy smell and post it right here for everyone to enjoy too I would!  Opening up their door and walking it was like revisiting your childhood!

All of their candy was so neatly lined up and on display just begging to be picked and taken home to enjoy.  On top of their chocolate cases were several selections of jelly bellies.  And I'll tell you I'm a sucker when it comes to those.  I love how they taste exactly like the name their are supposed to be.  Popcorn really tastes like you're at the movies eating some buttered popcorn, where as the Toasted Marshmallows tastes like your sitting around a campfire roasting real marshmallows!  And I was told that if you mix the Chocolate Pudding with the Toasted Marshmallow, it'll taste just like a s'more!  So I guess I need to go back and try some more!  I ended up leaving with 3 different bags of Jelly Bellies, one for each of my kids and one for my husband.

But then came the chocolate.  How can you choose just one type?!  I had to walk back and forth between the two cases deciding on which ones to get, because I know if I had it my way I would have walked out one several of each!  I ended up choose some Buckeyes since it has been years since I've enjoyed them.  And let's just say, yummy!  They were so mouth watering good.  I'm already planning on going back this week for some more!

I love that this is a family run business with a little bit of something for everyone.  And I hope everyone else that goes there and gets to try their delicious candies enjoys it as much as I did!

So if you're in the Celina, Ohio area, stop by 2 Sisters Sweet Shoppe!

Happy Easter!!

I hope everyone has had a wonderful Easter weekend.

Unfortunately because we have been rather busy and were out and about I didn't get a chance to take any outfit photos.  Then I had planned a cute dress for today, but the weather was so beautiful play clothes were called for instead!  Can't really play outdoor sports in a dress!

I decided to share a few of my favorite photos from the weekend!

I bought these tulips earlier in the week because we had snow on Tuesday and I was really wanting some Spring in my life.  And I was so happy when they finally opened up and bloomed yesterday!  They are just so gorgeous!

Since I knew we were going to be gone all day Saturday, I had made our Easter cake on Friday.  I had seen the idea on Pinterest and decided I wanted to try my luck and see if I could make one similar to it.  I think it turned out pretty good and the best part was that even though it was small, there was enough for everyone that came to Easter lunch. :)

Then of course you have to take a few selfies right?!  So I got one with my mom and another with the love of my life!

So I hope everyone had a great weekend filled with lots of fun, love and family.

From my family to yours:  Happy Easter!

Ruffles and a Statement

Well I don't want to jinx it, but it looks like we finally received some more Spring weather.  Let's see how long this will last.  But since we did have a pretty nice day yesterday I wanted to be spring with some extra girlie mixed in.  And what better way to do that then with an adorable ruffled top!  I've never been a huge fan of ruffles, but with this top it's added on just right, plus the color is perfect for my pasty white skin!

I just love when I discover a new boutique and instantly fall in love with their clothes.  Only down side is I tend to find way more than my husband probably would like!  But recently I found this amazingly cute boutique called Modern Vintage.  Their clothes are very current and it seems like they have new arrivals daily (eeekkkk!)  I've already posted about the ultra soft white skinnies (here and here) that I can't seem to get enough of.  And now I have these perfect strappy booties and super cute ruffle top!  I'm already looking forward to my next (hopefully soon) order!

And of course every once in awhile you just need to add a statement piece.  In a way I tended to add a couple here, but they all seemed to blend in well.  I love my statement necklace from Premier Designs Jewelry.  It's one of my favorite pieces and I decided to add a bit more of a wow factor by adding the simple chunky bracelet with the large cocktail ring.
