Burgundy & Cyber Monday

Happy Monday Loves!

This past week has been fun and relaxing but now I'm back in full swing.  I have such a busy schedule coming up with lots of parties I'm planning.  Hopefully I'll be able to take lots of photos and post about some of my favorite drinks, foods and games!

For today's outfit I love the all black with the pop of burgundy.  I have this same top in black (here and here) and when I saw it in burgundy at a recent trip to Bloom I knew I had to have it.  Plus any excuse I can have to wear this trench makes me happy.

Since today is Cyber Monday I wanted to share a few of my favorite boutiques who are having a cyber deal!

The Chunky Sweater

If you've been following my blog for awhile you might have noticed I really only have one hairstyle...straight!  I swear I am totally hopeless when it comes to styling my hair.  So I decided to go old school and break out my curlers.  Now that I see how pretty my hair is all curled, I just might break these out more often!

Happy Thanksgiving (one day early!)

This year I have so many things to be Thankful for.
-My husband and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary last month and everyday I'm thankful to say he's my husband.  He's my rock and the love of my life.
-Our kids have really grown this year and their personalities are shining.  I love to look back at photos to see how much they've grown and I look forward to see what their future has in store for them.
-I'm thankful to be living near my parents again.  I've missed not being able to see them all the time and I'm even more thankful that my kids get to be around their grandparents.  I never really saw my grandparents when I was growing up since we lived far away, so I know how much my parents love it and how amazing it is for my kids.
-I'm thankful to be have the friends that I do.  I have friends that are old and new and I love each and everyone one of them.  Each of them adds to my life and I'm thankful for their friendship.
-I'm thankful for our men and woman her a serving in our Armed Forces.  A lot of them can not be with their families today, because they are out keeping our country and others safe.  So please while you gather around the dinner table tomorrow, please take a moment to think of them.
-I'm thankful for the opportunities I have to make my dream become a reality soon.  I have an amazing husband whose super supportive of me and I can't wait to start building on my dream.

There is so much more I have to be thankful for but these are just a few of the things that I'm most thankful for.

Today's outfit was all about comfort.  The weather is dropping and the weatherman keeps saying that nasty word: snow. Seriously that word should be illegal!  So when I bought this sweater a few weeks ago, I knew it would be a favorite of mine.  I love how thick it is, but with the wide neck you can still be stylish.  I've seen this sweater come in a handful of colors and I'm tempted to pick up a few more.  And there are so many ways to wear this: off the should, as a cowl neck, with a tank, a chambray shirt, a collared blouse, or with a scarf.  The options are endless, but if you're wanting to buy one, do it quickly as these seem to fly off the shelves.

Stripes and Leopards

I can't believe it's Thanksgiving week already.  Where did this month go?  Heck where did this year go?!  Every year at this time I always try and figure out where the time went, but I love to reflect back on what all my family and I have accomplished this year.  Normally, at this time I'm going into baking over-drive by making tons of desserts and doing prep work for Thanksgiving dinner.  But this year since my husband had to go out of town for work, the kids and I will be spending it at my parents house.  I'll still be able to do lots of baking, but I just won't have to worry about doing it all on my own.

Now on to today's look.  The more I wear this tunic dress, the more I'm loving it.  The last time I wore this dress, I paired it with jeans and a puffer vest (here), that was more of a casual look.  This is what I love about versatile pieces, by changing a few items, I've made this dress more dressier.  I decided to pair it with some white jeggings, my favorite OTK boots and this amazing leopard kimono.  I love the mixture of prints in this outfit too.  It really makes a statement and helps me stand out in a crowd.

Blanket Scarf

Other ways to wear the blanket scarf:

Today's outfit is all about the blanket scarf.  This scarf has been seen all over the blogger sites, shops and magazines.  It's very versatile and can be paired with any outfit, from dresses to jeans.  When I first saw these last season I wanted one, but every time I went to buy one they were always sold out.  So this year when I started seeing my favorite boutiques carrying them I snatched one up!

I love how thick and warm this is on top of being stylish.  I'm a sucker for just about anything plaid, especially in the Fall, so it's no wonder I grab this scarf almost every time I leave the house now.  For today I paired it with my olive green dolman top and faux leather jacket.  Along with my ripped jeans and boots it really makes for a casual outfit, perfect for running errands.

I already have a my eye on a couple more color options!

A Touch of Gold

The other weekend and bunch of my girl friends and I decided we needed a night out.  Which was the perfect excuse to break out this gold sequin top again!  I decided to keep the outfit simple and sleek, going all black, witch just the hint of gold.

Ladies Night was a blast, we tried a handful of local hot spots and ended the night doing Fireballs at TGI Fridays!
