Leopard Statement

I've never owned anything like this kimono before.  And I'm so glad I got it.  First, I love pretty much anything leopard print and second I love that even though I'm 5'9 it's still plenty long on me!  I love the idea of having an article of clothing that just makes a statement.  And this is mine.  I dressed it up with lots of black (I really could wear black every day and be very happy), but I also like the idea of mixing in other browns and some reds, which I'll probably do later on.
I've seen a lot of kimono style overlays like this for a while and now that I have one I think I just may have to get a few more of different styles and lengths.  They can be worn year round with just about anything you wear.  Dress, shorts, jeans, swimsuits etc.

I hope you like today's look.  Leave a comment with your thoughts or let me know what your favorite statement piece you own is.  I'd love to hear your opinions!

Double Dose

Since Christmas, things have been non-stop here.  Normally the day after we just veg around the house and let the kids play with their new toys.  But this year we decided to take advantage of some of the after Christmas sales and I couldn't resist the deal Michael's had.  Beside fashion, I'm obsessed with reading, baking, crafting and candy making.  So when I saw Michael's had 40% off entire purchase, I had to go!  And I stuck gold.  I was able to stock up on a lot of my crafting, candy and baking supplies that I needed or I've been wanting.

So this morning when we woke up, I told my husband that today was going to be a lazy day.  Um.. nope!  I forgot he had to go into work for a second and he wanted to return some of his gifts.  Which turned into another small shopping day, followed by the urge to get my house back in order.  I hate having a messy house and over the last few days it's been a wreck.  So now the house is cleaned and the Christmas decor has been packed away until next year.

So with how busy/crazy things have been for the last couple of days I haven't been able to update you with my daily outfit.  Thankfully I was able to get the photos taken, so you get a second dose of style tonight.  I hope you enjoy it and thank you again for stopping by!
