Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween

I love those days where things seem to be coming together and you're feeling sassy.  I don't know what it is but the last couple of weeks I feel like I've been in a funk.  Barely touched any of my crafting items (which is kind of scary since I have a bazaar coming up), not in the mood to really bake, just feeling off.  Well for whatever reason I finally snapped out of it yesterday.

I baked 2 dozen cupcakes for my husband to take into work today (Friday), started the never ending pile of laundry and managed to get a few craft projects finished.  But the one thing I was the most happiest about was meeting with my son's teacher.  I couldn't stop smiling after hearing about how incredibly smart he is and how he's already so well advanced for only being a 1st grader!  Needless to say I am one proud mommy right now!

Now onto yesterday's look.  I am so in love with my leather leggings.  They just seem to instantly make you feel sexier or edgier!  I also really love wrap tops.  I feel like they are figure flattering on all body shapes.  Plus I really love this one, the colors are beautiful but the material is so insanely soft.  I decided to pair them with my favorite boots (which I obviously wear a lot!).  Keeping the jewelry simple just completed the look.

Ps.  Sorry for the poor lighting and crazy face.. the sun was setting and in my eyes, but we had to get these photos before our teacher conference!

Black and White

For some reason this outfit makes me think of being at a ski resort or somewhere in the mountains surrounded by snow.  Why?  No clue, especially since I'm not a big fan of snow.  I'm excited for the first snow fall (most of the time) and when there is a white Christmas, but then I'm over it! lol  Give me 70 degree weather year round and I'd be thrilled!

I really love how black and white look together.  There's just something so classic about it, no matter how you pair the two together.  To help break up the two colors I added this amazing pop of color with my red plaid hobo bag.

Blazer Love

It's no secret, I love blazers!  If I wouldn't get funny looks I'd wear one everyday.  But since I don't have a typical job (I'm a house wife) wearing a blazer daily just doesn't make sense.  But I do love how they instantly dress up an outfit.  Plus I love to wear dark colors then add in a nice pop of color!

Layered Up

Happy Tuesday Everyone!

Keeping today's post pretty simple.  I love purple and greens together.  There's just something about that combination that just looks amazing.  This outfit came in handy yesterday.  The morning started off cold, but as the day progressed it warmed up to the mid 70s.  That's Ohio weather for you!  But I love wearing multiple layers during the cooler months so you can add or remove items depending on the temperature.

Weekend Outfits

This weekend was all about being comfortable and lazy.  Well to a certain extent!  It never fails, every time I plan to have a lazy day, I end up cleaning or baking.  While I "plan" to be lazy I still want to be comfortable and not put to much thought into my outfits.  These two looks are so different from each other but at the same time they make me feel comfortable.

The first look is kind of an old outfit, I've had that top for a few years now, but I just love the dolman sleeves of it.  Plus since it was warm out I didn't want to be too layered up.  I added the scarf for a pop of color.

The second look was sort of 90's inspired.  Laid back a little grungy (with the boots and kimono) and perfect for a day of "relaxing".

Harvest Fur

I am horrible when it comes to doing my own hair.  I have two styles.  Ponytail and straight!  So yesterday after watching a youtube video (learning how to do Elsa's coronation hairstyle for my daughter's costume) I decided to play with my own hair.  So please if my hair looks goofy don't say anything! lol  My husband was a little shocked when he saw me yesterday since he's always used to my two styles.

Yesterday also really felt like Fall for me.  It was chilly and gloomy out with my backyard currently covered in a sea of leaves.  I kept my outfit kind of simple.  I love this burnt orange knit top.  It feels very Harvest like, but since it's a 3/4 I added this faux fur sweater vest for an extra layer of warmth.

Sometimes you just have those days where you want to try new things, but keep things simple!
